Notice to BPC Residents & Visitors. June 04, 2008
On Thursday, June 5, 2008 the mobilization and installation of the new Port Authority Ferry Terminal will begin.
The installation process will be completed by late summer.
The work will take place on the Hudson River, adjacent to Vesey Street and Battery Park City Esplanade and includes the installation of gangways from the ferry barge to towers adjacent to the Esplanade.
From time to time during this period, the Battery Park City Esplanade will be closed to the public. Signage on the Esplanade will direct pedestrian traffic to alternative routes.
On Saturday, June 7, New York Waterway may need to temporally close the existing terminal during the installation. Please contact NY Waterway at (800) 53-FERRY or visit http://www.nywaterway.com for information on transportation alternatives.
